Brief Introduction of Geocell Confinement System

Geogrid is a new type of synthetic material with many technical advantages. This paper introduces the application of geogrid in soft soil foundation, filling road section, pavement construction, and backfill soil, points out the key points of construction technology, and analyzes it in combination with engineering cases. Geogrid System Characteristic

When the external force acts on the grid unevenly, the mesh will deform due to the transverse tensile stress, which shows the restraint effect and has strong adaptability to the non-uniform distributed load. The geogrid has high friction resistance. When used as reinforcement, it can enhance the shear strength of the structural layer and improve the overall stability.

Laying method

1. After the first layer of geogrid is laid, start to fill the second layer of 0.2m thick medium (coarse) sand. The method: transport the sand to the construction site and unload it on the side of the roadbed, and then push it forward with a bulldozer. First fill 0.1m within 2m on both sides of the roadbed, then fold the first layer of geogrid and fill it with 0.1m of medium (coarse) sand. It is forbidden to fill and advance from both sides to the middle. All kinds of machinery work on the geogrid that is not filled with medium (coarse) sand, so as to ensure that the geogrid is flat, without bulging or wrinkling. After the second layer of medium (coarse) sand is leveled, the Measure horizontally to prevent uneven thickness of filling, and use a 25T vibratory roller to statically press twice after the copying is correct.

Application:

Application of backfill in platform
